MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Jammu Kashmir Peoples Party expelled three workers who were involved in the Joint Awami Action Committee’s movement.
Rehan Ashfaq Qazi and Zulfiqar Amjad Latif, both from Rawalakot, were issued show-cause notices by JKPP President Hassan Ibrahim, seeking clarification, but none of the three responded to the notice.
In a meeting chaired by Sardar Hassan Ibrahim, the membership of all three workers was terminated, and it was announced that any worker found involved would face similar action.
It is worth noting that Waheed Khaksar, a prominent worker of the Jammu Kashmir Peoples Party, is currently in a Saudi Arabian jail for organizing an event in support of the Action Committee in Saudi Arabia. He may also be expelled from the party, according to party officials.
No compromise on discipline: Peoples Party
Party sources said that the Jammu Kashmir Peoples Party is not in favour of any compromise on its organizational discipline, and the leadership has decided that any activity against the party’s reputation and policies will not be tolerated.
