RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has reacted strongly to the Indian documentary on Operation Sindoor, saying that even after more than a year of the Marka-e-Haq, India refuses to accept the bitter reality of defeat.
A statement issued by the ISPR said that instead of admitting failure, India is trying to present history in its own colors.
Indian content creators have produced a highly dramatic, colorful, and factually contradictory documentary on the so-called Operation Sindoor.
The statement said that the film also includes Indian political and military leadership, while an attempt has been made to change the facts and the results of the operation through selected interviews, emotional narratives and Bollywood-style imagery.
The ISPR said that there are fundamental contradictions in the narrative of the documentary, which show an attempt to create a version of events that is acceptable within India.
The statement added that the documentary deliberately attempted to establish a link between the speech of the Pakistan Army Chief on April 16, 2025, and the Pahalgam incident of April 22, 2025, while no basis for this link was presented.
The ISPR said that India later claimed that it had identified the 3 alleged suspects of the Pahalgam incident and killed them on July 28, 2025, 82 days after the so-called Operation Sindoor.
If Operation Sindoor was carried out to punish the perpetrators of Pahalgam, then India will have to explain who was punished on May 7, 2025, as claimed by India.
The statement also stated that the claim of “100 percent mission success” in the Indian documentary film was contradictory to the operational record, while in reality, during the Marka-e-Haq, Pakistan’s armed forces successfully thwarted Indian aggression and shot down 8 Indian military aircraft.
Operation Banyan um Marsoos
The statement said that Pakistan launched Operation Banyan um Marsoos, in which 26 military targets were hit by Fatah precision-guided rockets and missiles, Pakistan Air Force precision-guided weapons, long-range loitering munitions and precision artillery.
The ISPR said in the statement that in the Indian documentary, the Indian military leadership itself admits to Pakistani missile, drone and air activities, continuous clashes on the Line of Control and the activation of Indian air defense systems.
Such admissions are not consistent with the Indian claim of decisively defeating Pakistan, while the documentary’s narrative regarding the ceasefire also negates its own claims.
The film admits that the hostilities ended through contacts between the DGMOs of the two countries and an agreement to stop military operations. This fact contradicts the attempt to describe Operation Sindoor as a unilateral Indian military victory.
US Role in the Indo-Pak Ceasefire
The ISPR said that the US also played a role in the Indo-Pak ceasefire, which cannot be presented as evidence of an unconditional Indian victory. There are also contradictions in the Indian documentary regarding the escalation of tension.
On the one hand, the film claims surprise attacks, precise targeting, in-depth operations and dominance over the tension, while on the other hand, it is also said that India deliberately kept the conflict limited and provided Pakistan with an “exit window”.
The ISPR said in the statement that these contradictory claims show that the documentary is not an impartial military analysis but a specific narrative prepared for presentation inside the country, in which India has not declassified the facts but has prepared a propaganda video to make a military failure appear as a successful campaign.
The statement said that no kind of cinematic visualization can change the facts of the agreed date, aircraft losses, military casualties and actual military clashes.
Pakistan does not need to create any artificial narrative regarding Marka Haq; the operational record, battlefield evidence, diplomatic contacts and subsequent statements by India speak for themselves.
Pakistan Committed to Regional Peace and Stability
Pakistan is committed to regional peace and stability. However, the Pakistan Army is fully prepared and capable of defending the country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and national interests, the ISPR said.
Any future military adventure will be responded to in a forceful, decisive and disproportionate manner, after which no kind of cinematic spectacle will be able to save face for India.
