ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): For the second consecutive day, low-lying areas in Rawalpindi and Islamabad were flooded due to heavy rain.

According to MD WASA, the highest rainfall of 116 mm was recorded in the Shamsabad area of ​​Rawalpindi.

MD WASA has said that a rain emergency has been imposed to deal with any emergency situation, and the leaves of field staff have been canceled.

MD WASA says that heavy machinery has been deployed in the low-lying areas of Liaquat Bagh, Committee Chowk Underpass, and Murree Road.

In addition, heavy machinery has also been deployed in the low-lying areas of Dhok Khuba, Circular Road and Sadiqabad.

MD WASA says that the water level in Nala Lai is 10.5 feet at Katarian and 8.5 feet at Gowalmandi.
