ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Meteorological Department has forecast light rain in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, while most parts of the country are expected to experience hot and dry weather on Tuesday.
According to the weather forecast, daytime temperatures will remain high in the plains, while northern mountainous areas are likely to have partly cloudy skies during the afternoon.
Rain expected in Kashmir and GB
Partly cloudy weather is expected in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during the afternoon, with a possibility of light rain at a few locations.
Most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected to remain dry, with hot conditions in the plains.
Partly cloudy weather is likely in upper districts during the afternoon, while light rain, gusty winds and thunderstorms may occur at a few places in Kohistan, Abbottabad, Mansehra, D.I. Khan and adjoining areas.
Most districts of Punjab will experience hot and dry weather, with gusty winds expected in the plains during the day.
Murree, Galyat and surrounding areas may witness partly cloudy conditions and light rain in the afternoon.
Hot and dry weather is also expected in Islamabad and adjoining areas.
Weather in Sindh and Balochistan
Most districts of Sindh are expected to remain hot and dry, while partly cloudy weather is likely in coastal areas.
Balochistan will also experience predominantly hot and dry weather.
Rainfall recorded in 24 hours
During the last 24 hours, most parts of the country remained dry, while the plains experienced hot weather. Light rain was recorded in Mithi, Ziarat, Babusar and Parachinar.
The highest rainfall recorded was 7mm in Mithi, Sindh, and 7mm in Ziarat, Balochistan. Babusar received 4mm, while Parachinar recorded 1mm of rain.
