KARACHI (Kashmir English): Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC) on Friday announced the gas shutdown schedule for areas in Balochistan, including Quetta.
Sui Southern Gas Company supplies gas to Balochistan and Sindh, including Karachi.
According to an SSGC spokesperson, gas supply will remain suspended on Sunday, November 2, due to repair work.
The areas in Quetta where gas will remain suspended include Hazar Ganji, Sariab, Kharotabad, Haji Camp, Noorzai Chowk, and Pashtun Bagh.
In addition, gas supply will also remain suspended in Akhtarabad, Western Bypass, Khizni, Nohsar, Samangli, Kali Barat, GOR Colony, Airport Road, Pishin, Kuchlak, Bostan, Ziarat, Mastung, and Kalat.
LPG price reduced
In another development, the government has reduced the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) price by Rs5.88 per kilogram, effective from November 1, 2025.
According to the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) notification, the price of an 11.8-kg domestic LPG cylinder has been reduced by Rs69.44.
Following the revision, the new price for the household cylinder has been fixed at Rs2,378.89, down from Rs2,448.33 in October.
The adjustment comes as part of OGRA’s monthly price review, reflecting changes in international market trends and domestic distribution costs.
