ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Federal Constitutional Court has prevented the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government from withdrawing the May 9/10 case.

The court issued a stay order in this regard on the request of Radio Pakistan.

Radio Pakistan also requested in its application that the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government wants to influence the hearing of the case in Peshawar, so the case should be transferred to a court in Islamabad or Punjab.

This is the same case of Radio Pakistan in which it was decided to nominate former ministers and other PTI leaders, including Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, but the police have not yet submitted the challan.

May 9 cases

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had decided last year to withdraw the May 9 and 10 cases, which also included the Radio Pakistan case.
