DHAKA (Kashmir English): The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has withdrawn the NOCs of Mustafizur Rahman and Naheed Rana, two key players participating in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
According to a report by Cricinfo, after the one-day series win against New Zealand, the Bangladesh Cricket Board has informed Mustafizur Rahman and Naheed Rana that they are not returning to represent their teams in the remaining matches of the PSL.
The BCB said in a statement that it has been decided that Mustafizur Rahman will immediately undergo a scan to assess the injury, after which his rehabilitation program will begin under the supervision of the board’s medical team.
The BCB said that on this basis, the board has withdrawn the NOC previously issued to Mustafizur Rahman, and he will not be eligible to participate in the remaining matches of the PSL 2026.
The report said that Mustafizur Rahman suffered a knee injury after returning from the PSL for the series against New Zealand and was unable to participate in the first two matches of the series, but performed brilliantly in the third and final match in Chittagong, taking 5 wickets.
The BCB said in a statement that the board has decided to rest Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed, as well as Naheed Rana, for the first two matches of the T20 series against New Zealand, so they will also not be available for the remaining matches of the PSL.
It should be noted that Mustafizur Rahman was representing Lahore Qalandars in the PSL and had taken 6 wickets in 5 matches before returning to Bangladesh.
Naheed Rana was playing for Peshawar Zalmi and had performed brilliantly, taking 4 wickets in one match and taking 7 wickets in a total of 4 matches.
According to the report, Naheed Rana will now be part of the Bangladesh team for the Test series against Pakistan scheduled in May, while Mustafizur Rahman will play the ODI series against Australia in June.
