DUBAI (Kashmir English): Pakistan T20I captain Sahibzada Farhan has climbed to second place in the latest ICC Men’s T20I Batting Rankings released on Wednesday.

He benefitted from a decline in Indian batter Ishan Kishan’s position in the updated standings.

Farhan rose one spot to second with 883 rating points, while Kishan slipped two positions to third following a series of modest performances in recent T20I matches against New Zealand and the West Indies.

The latest rankings show that India’s Abhishek Sharma rose to the top position after scoring a century in the third T20I against New Zealand, overtaking his teammate Kishan in the rankings.

Pakistan’s opening batter Saim Ayub dropped one place to 43rd with 550 rating points, while Maaz Sadaqat fell two positions to 46th with 533 points.

Former Pakistan white-ball captain Babar Azam also slipped one spot to 48th, continuing his downward trajectory in the shortest-format rankings.

Hasan Nawaz slipped to 51st position, while Pakistan all-rounder Salman Ali Agha dropped to 55th. However, experienced left-handed batter Fakhar Zaman registered a slight improvement, climbing two places to 79th.
