Rawalakot (Kashmir English): Law enforcement personnel came under intense gunfire during a flag march in the Eidgah area of Rawalakot on June 14 by the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC).
During the incident, an armoured personnel carrier (APC) belonging to the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Police was struck multiple times by bullets fired from different types of small arms.
Initial reports indicate that the vehicle sustained around 30 bullet impacts on its body during the attack. The gunfire also caused significant damage to the APC, with both rear tyres bursting after being hit by bullets.
Despite the heavy firing, the armoured vehicle continued to provide protection to personnel present during the operation.
