NEW DEHLI (Kashmir English): The news of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan’s admission to the hospital has caused concern among fans, however, close sources have termed these reports as baseless.
Initial reports claimed that the 83-year-old superstar has been undergoing treatment at Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital for the past few days due to stomach-related problems, while it was also said that his son Abhishek Bachchan also arrived at the hospital to meet him.
However, close sources later clarified that Amitabh Bachchan was not admitted to the hospital but had only gone to Nanavati Hospital for a routine medical check-up and returned home the same day.
Sources told Indian media that Amitabh Bachchan regularly visits the hospital for check-ups every month and this time too he returned home only after a routine check-up. Another source completely dismissed the rumours, saying that the actor is completely healthy.
These rumours also spread rapidly because Amitabh Bachchan has been facing gastrointestinal problems since a serious accident during the shooting of the film “Coolie” in the past, due to which news related to his health is often discussed on social media.
Moreover, fans also noted that he was present outside his residence “Jalsa” on Sunday for a traditional meet and greet, where he met fans and later shared pictures and thoughts about it on his blog.
During the rumours, Amitabh Bachchan also shared a mysterious Hindi sentence on his blog, which further fuelled the online rumours, however, it was not clarified whether it had any connection with the health news.
