WASHINGTON (Kashmir English): The US Senate has passed a resolution to end the blockade of Iran and withdraw American troops from there in what could be described as a blow to President Trump.
According to foreign media, the resolution to withdraw US troops from the blockade of Iran was passed by 50 votes to 47.
According to the media report, the voting number is a sign that President Trump’s administration has failed to satisfy public against what is called unpopular war against Iran.
The war has not only dealt a half-trillion dollar blow to the economies of the US but also to the entire world.
After the Senate, this matter will now be put to a vote in the US House of Representatives this week.
It is expected that this resolution will also be passed in the House because earlier, voting on the Iran issue had resulted in a tie, the reason being that some members supporting the resolution could not attend due to medical reasons.
According to media reports, a large number of US Congress members want congressional approval for the war with Iran.
Trump’s threat to Iran
On the other hand, US President Donald Trump has once again threatened that he could attack Iran in 2 to 3 days, stating that it needs to be dealt a major blow.
“If Iran gets weapons, the only question will be whether they will use them in the first minute? In the first hour? Or on the first day?”
Trump warned that perhaps Iran would have to be attacked again, stating that an attack on Iran could happen in two to three days, perhaps on Friday or Saturday, or early next week.
The US President also claimed that he was only an hour away from attacking Iran on Monday.
