RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): On the occasion of the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, Field Marshal COAS Syed Asim Munir, Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, extended heartfelt congratulations to the nation and all ranks of the Armed Forces, according to ISPR.
Observed with reverence, gratitude and national spirit, the day was described as a reflection of courage, professionalism and unity. The Armed Forces reaffirmed their commitment to standing shoulder to shoulder with the people of Pakistan, as per the statement by ISPR.
To commemorate the victory of Marka-e-Haq and honour the sacrifices of martyrs and veterans, ceremonies are being held across the country. Floral wreaths are being laid at martyrs’ memorials, while special prayers are being offered in recognition of their sacrifices for the country’s sovereignty, security and stability.
According to the statement, Marka-e-Haq has emerged as a defining milestone in Pakistan’s history, symbolising national resolve, military professionalism and strategic maturity. The success was said to have strengthened public confidence and highlighted Pakistan’s position as a responsible regional stabiliser with strong defence capabilities.
The statement further noted that Pakistan’s measured response during Marka-e-Haq exposed adversarial conspiracies, false narratives and disinformation campaigns at the international level.
Despite facing conventional and hybrid threats, including proxy terrorism, the Armed Forces demonstrated operational preparedness across land, air, sea, cyber and information domains.
It added that Pakistan has further strengthened its defensive capabilities and full-spectrum deterrence following Marka-e-Haq despite resource challenges, reaffirming the Armed Forces’ preparedness and dedication.
The anniversary also reiterates Pakistan’s commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty while promoting peace and stability in the region. The statement stressed that lasting peace in South Asia can only be achieved through meaningful dialogue, mutual respect and adherence to international law and principles of justice.
The Armed Forces vowed to remain vigilant and fully prepared to counter all internal and external challenges with the support of a resilient and united nation.
