KARACHI (Kashmir English): Hyderabad Kingsmen gave RawalPindiz 245-run target in a Pakistan Super League (PSL) game at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi on Sunday.
Kingsmen need to win by big margin to qualify for playoffs while RawalPindiz are already knocked out of the event.
RawalPindiz won the toss and decided to bowl first against Hyderabad Kingsmen in the second last group match of the PSL. Kingsmen scored 244 for 6 in the 20 overs.
The Kingsmen are currently sitting sixth on the points table and must secure a convincing victory to qualify for the playoffs, besides surpassing Lahore Qalandars — who are at the fourth position — in terms of net run rate.
The Kingsmen are likely to need a win of around 85 runs or a successful chase within approximately 10 overs to qualify for the next round.
The Kingsmen were off to a rapid start, reaching 126/5 in 10 overs with Usman Khan smashing 54 runs off just 25 balls before being dismissed. Kusal Perera contributed 22 runs off 9 balls. Saim Ayub added a quick 12 off 5 balls.
Rawalpindiz have already been eliminated from the tournament after a disappointing campaign, managing just one win from their nine matches so far.
