CALIFORNIA (Kashmir English): Facebook has launched its new program called Creator Fast Track, which assists creators in building their platform presence by providing them with guaranteed monthly income and better content distribution.
The company announced that it distributed approximately $3 billion to creators through its monetization programs, which marks a 35% increase from the previous year and becomes its largest yearly distribution to creators thus far.
The Creator Fast Track program is designed to attract creators who already have audiences on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. It allows them to expand onto Facebook without starting from zero.
Participants will receive increased reach on eligible Reels to accelerate audience growth, along with three months of guaranteed payments for posting content.
The program offers creators with at least 100,000 followers on other platforms the opportunity to earn $1,000 per month, while those with more than one million followers can receive $3,000 per month.
The program also provides immediate access to Facebook’s monetization features, without requiring creators to meet standard eligibility criteria such as minimum follower thresholds.
Creators can continue to make money from their content after the three-month payment period because their earnings will keep coming from their content use.
Facebook will provide ongoing support to creators who require additional time to build their audience beyond the initial program because it will continue to give them enhanced reach until they reach their audience goals.
Creators can join the program by reusing their existing content, which includes past videos that comply with program standards.
WhatsApp to let users link Facebook profiles
WhatsApp has introduced a new feature in its latest beta update, under which users can now add a link to their Facebook profile on their WhatsApp profile.
This feature aims to make it easier to connect Meta’s platforms. This feature, which is included in the beta version, allows users to add a Facebook link to their WhatsApp profile, which will be visible to all people who view their profile.
This link will be verified through the Meta Accounts Center to make it clear that both profiles belong to the same person.
A small badge will appear with the verified link, while an unverified link will appear as the full URL.
To enable the feature, users can control the visibility of the link as they wish by going to Settings > Privacy > Links.
Users can decide whether the link should be shown to everyone, only to selected contacts, or completely private.
This update follows on from previously introduced features that allowed users to connect Instagram profiles and share WhatsApp statuses directly to Instagram.
Initially, this feature is available to a limited number of users, but it is expected to be rolled out to all WhatsApp users soon after the trial is complete.
