KARACHI (Kashmir English): Samsung has introduced its latest mid-range smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy A37 and Samsung Galaxy A57, in Pakistan, offering significant upgrades in design, performance, camera capabilities, and software.
Both devices are aimed at users looking for premium features in the mid-range segment, with improvements in display quality, battery life, and AI-powered tools.
Display and Design
Both the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 feature a large 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring a vibrant and fluid viewing experience.
However, the Galaxy A57 stands out with a slimmer 6.9mm metal frame and IP68 water and dust resistance, giving it a more premium and durable design compared to the standard build of the Galaxy A37.
Performance and Storage
In terms of performance, the Galaxy A37 is powered by the Exynos 1480 chipset, while the Galaxy A57 comes equipped with the more advanced Exynos 1680 (4nm) processor, offering better efficiency and speed.
The A37 includes 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, whereas the A57 provides more flexibility with 8GB or 12GB RAM options and storage variants of 256GB and 512GB.
Camera Capabilities
For photography, both smartphones feature a 50MP main camera. The Galaxy A37 includes an 8MP ultra-wide and a 5MP macro lens, while the Galaxy A57 upgrades the ultra-wide sensor to 12MP for improved image quality. Both models offer a 12MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
Battery and Charging
Both devices are equipped with a 5000mAh battery, supporting 45W fast charging. Samsung claims that the phones can charge up to 60% in approximately 30 minutes, ensuring reliable battery performance for daily use.
Software and AI Features
The Galaxy A37 and A57 run on One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 and are expected to receive up to six years of software updates. While the A37 includes basic AI features, the Galaxy A57 introduces advanced AI tools such as Best Face, Auto Trim, Object Eraser, and Voice Transcription, enhancing user productivity and photography experience.
