COLOMBO (Kashmir English): India gave Pakistan a 176-run target in the T20 World Cup clash at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, Sri Lanka today.
India suffered early setbacks but soon they recovered with Ishan Kishan playing a standout innings, scoring 77 runs off 40 balls (including 10 fours and 3 sixes) before being dismissed by Saim Ayub.
Abhishek Sharma was dismissed for a four-ball duck in the first over by Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha.
Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and elected to field first. Continuing the precedent from previous encounters, captains from both teams did not engage in the customary pre-match handshake at the toss.
