BEJIENG (Kashmir English): Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has revealed that Field Marshal Asim Munir has played a very important role in restoring contacts between the Iranian and American leadership, after which the Iran-US talks are now moving in the right direction.
While addressing a grand reception ceremony held in his honor at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, PM Shehbaz stated that Field Marshal Asim Munir played a very positive role in the whole US-Iran scenario.
A grand and magnificent reception ceremony was held in honor of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif at the Great Hall of the People in China, where Chinese Premier Li Keqiang warmly welcomed his Pakistani counterpart.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif was also presented with a guard of honor by the brilliant troops of the Chinese armed forces. Addressing the ceremony, the Prime Minister said that visiting the great friendly country of China is always a source of immense joy for him, because whenever he comes to China, he gets to see new constructions and great development here.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized in his address that we are currently standing at a very important juncture in history, where Pakistan and China are celebrating the 75th year of their wonderful friendship and exemplary diplomatic relations.
He said that the strong foundation of the friendship between Pakistan and China was laid by our founding leaders, and the solid edifice of mutual relations between the two countries was built by our founders. Today, we are all together successfully carrying forward this great historical heritage.
Discussing the global situation, the Prime Minister said that today the world is going through a very critical period and there is a serious crisis in the Gulf region.
He said that Pakistan has played a very sincere role in reducing the ongoing tension between the US and Iran and in mediating. Shehbaz Sharif revealed that Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has just returned from an important visit to Tehran. He did not want to miss this important diplomatic visit under any circumstances, which is why the Field Marshal traveled all night and joined this important meeting.
He clarified that Field Marshal Asim Munir has played a key role in the contacts between the Iranian and American leadership, thanks to which the relations between the two sides are now moving in the right direction.
The Prime Minister sincerely thanked Chinese President Xi Jinping and the entire Chinese leadership for supporting Pakistan’s vigorous efforts to establish peace and a ceasefire in the Gulf.
He clearly stated that Pakistan fully supports and supports the 4-point agenda presented by President Xi Jinping for establishing peace in the region and the world.
On the other hand, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said in his speech on the occasion that Pakistan has always maintained close communication and coordination, safeguarded common interests, and played a positive role in regional peace and stability.
He announced that President Xi Jinping will have an important meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today, which will provide strategic guidance to further deepen and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
The Chinese Premier resolutely said that China is fully willing to work with Pakistan, carry forward traditional friendship, and promote bilateral cooperation, and we are determined to expand practical cooperation with Pakistan and discuss all issues of mutual interest
