CALIFORNIA (Kashmir English): WhatsApp is developing a Close Friends feature, which enables users to share status updates with selected contacts in the same way as Instagram’s Close Friends feature.
The feature will enable users to create a custom list of close contacts who can view their private status updates According to media reports. The Close Friends feature is currently in the testing phase and is expected to be rolled out gradually in future updates.
WhatsApp has not yet announced an official launch date. The move aims to give users more privacy and control, especially those who prefer to keep their personal content hidden from all their contacts.
