JAMSHORO (Kashmir English): The local administration has announced a local public holiday across Jamshoro District on Saturday, February 7, 2025, in connection with the 774th annual Urs of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar (RA).
According to an official notification issued by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Jamshoro, the holiday will be observed only within the territorial limits of Jamshoro District. All government offices, educational institutions, and public-sector departments in the district will remain closed for the day.
The gesture designates an area specifically for the devotees without losing sight of the proper procedures during the religious ceremony.
Thousands of devotees attend the annual URS celebration in honor of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, a revered Sufi saint throughout South Asia, every year.
