MARDAN (Kashmir English): A Pakistan Air Force trainer aircraft crashed near Mardan today during a routine training flight, resulting in the martyrdom of both pilots.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Flight Lieutenant Muhammad Qasim Abdullah of the Pakistan Air Force and Lieutenant Taha Abbasi of the Pakistan Navy were martyred in a PAF trainer aircraft accident.

The ISPR said that an inquiry board has been formed by the Air Headquarters to find out the reasons for the accident.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Chiefs of the Armed Forces and all the officers and men of the Armed Forces of Pakistan have expressed deep grief and sorrow over this unfortunate accident.

According to the ISPR, the armed forces have expressed their heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the families of the martyrs and paid tribute to the services and sacrifices of the deceased for the country.
