LONDON (Safina Khan): In a breakthrough in the Shahzad Akbar and Adil Raja case, the suspect, Louis Regan, turned out to be a student, not a hitman.
During the proceedings at Westminster Magistrates Court today, it was told that 25-year-old Louis Regan does not have any criminal record, and so far, no direct connection has been proven with this case.
However, the court was told that the student was found involved in the purchase and sale of a BMW car, the same car that was used to harm Adil Raja and Shahzad Akbar at their homes.
Importantly, according to the evidence presented in the case, no Pakistani agency has been proven to have any connection with this matter.
According to court records, this incident appears to be a simple theft, rather than an organized state conspiracy, which was given an extraordinary hue in social media and some circles.
