MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Prime Minister of the State of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) on Thursday assigned portfolios of the Department of Information and the Ministry of Mineral Resources.
As per the notification issued by the Services and General Administration Department, MLA Chaudhry Rafique Nayyar has been appointed as the Minister of Information of Azad Kashmir.
“AJK PM in exercise of the powers conferred under sub-rule (4) of rule 30 of the Rules (Revised), 1985, has assigned the portfolio of the Department of Information to Muhammad Rafique in addition to the existing Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments,” it stated.
In a separate notification, MLA Faheem Akhtar Rabbani has been given the portfolio of the Ministry of Mineral Resources. He was already acting as the Minister of Tourism and Archaeology.
