ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, has actually cast aspersions regarding the chance of negotiations with the party formed by the name of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf  (PTI), Imran Khan.

Emphasizing that politics and democracy advance through negotiations and that political parties should come together and discuss issues related to them, Sanaullah said that Imran Khan, the founder of the PTI, did not respond well to the call from Prime Minister Shehbaz in the past.

“The founder of PTI isn’t doing politics; negotiations are not in his policy. In his party, nobody has any authority but he.”

“The founder of the PTI doesn’t want negotiations; he wants chaos,” the PM’s adviser said.

This came after PM Shehbaz had said that negotiations between his government and PTI are only possible on “legitimate” demands and that blackmail in the form of dialogue would never be tolerated.

Additionally, speaking about the political situation in particular, and the potential dialogue between the government and the PTI, Khawaja Asif stated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has repeatedly invited the previous governing party, but the other party always lays down terms of engagement.

“If the PTI sets its house in order, then the dialogue can proceed,” he said.
