MIRPUR (Kashmir English): Kashmiris living on either side of the LoC (AJK and IIOJK) will observe World Human Rights Day today (December 10), to reiterate their long-standing unanimous demand for early end of the ongoing massive human rights abuses against innocent population in occupied Kashmir.
In Mirpur Azad Jammu Kashmir, major ceremony to mark World Human Rights Day will be hosted by Kashmir Press Club with the coordination of Jammu Kashmir Free Media Association, with a call upon the international body of United Nations and others world rights forums for their due role to ensure early peaceful settlement of the Kashmir issue.
They would urge them to take immediate notice of the continual human rights violations by the Indian occupational forces targeting innocent Kashmiris including Media in occupied Jammu Kashmir state.
A mammoth procession, followed by a public rally will be held under the auspices of the KPC with coordination of JKFMA and the local organisations of the civil society to observe the day.
Another major ceremony in connection with the World Human Rights Day will be held under the aegis of Kashmir Institute of International Relations (KIIR).
The ceremony will be followed by a seminar aimed at inviting the attention of the international community including world human rights forums towards the fast-deteriorating conditions of the humanity in occupied Kashmir.

Human Rights Day on 10th of December every year recognizes the work of human rights defenders worldwide who act to end discrimination.
