AJK PM Faisal Rathore confident of federal support for swift project completion

MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Raja Faisal Rathore said that “we are confident that the federal government will help us, and all the projects will be completed as soon as possible.”

The AJK PM Faisal Rathore arrived in Muzaffarabad city today on an important visit.

Talking to the media on this occasion, the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir said, Muzaffarabad is my own city and I am fully aware of its problems.

As the Minister of Local Government, I launched the Solid Waste Management project. The problems are unlimited, and the resources are limited. We know everything, but we need some time.

We are confident that the federal government will help us, and all the projects will be completed as soon as possible.

The AJK PM Faisal Rathore said he enjoys full support from the federal government, noting that Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s presence at his oath-taking ceremony was widely appreciated by the people of Azad Kashmir.

A journalist asked whether major projects approved in the previous regime, including the Lower Topa–Murree Expressway and the Muzaffarabad Capital City Development Package, would be completed.

Responding to the question, the Prime Minister assured that the federal government’s cooperation would continue and expressed confidence that all Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) projects would be implemented at the earliest.

The Prime Minister further said that he had met the Prime Minister of Pakistan, which was his routine visit, and he himself will also meet him so that the projects for Kashmir can be discussed in detail.

The PM AJK said that “we will try our best to get cooperation from the government of Pakistan so that not only within the state but also within Muzaffarabad, some of our signature projects come up that will bring ease for the people.

On this occasion, he visited the grave of Colonel Asif Ali Shaheed and offered Fateha. The Prime Minister paid tribute to the martyr’s sacrifice and expressed his condolences to his family and the people.
