ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that his party will support the government on Article 243 in the 27th Constitutional Amendment.

Briefing the media after the party’s Central Executive Committee meeting, Bilawal Bhutto said that efforts will be made to build consensus on other points as well.

Bilawal Bhutto said that the PPP is in principle in favor of the establishment of a “constitutional court”.

According to him, we will support the government on Article 243 and see on which other points an agreement can be reached under 27th Constitutional Amendment.

Bilawal said that the PPP wants the remaining provisions of the “Charter of Democracy” to be implemented so that the democratic process is strengthened.

Talking about the transfer of judges, he said that we propose that the Chief Justices of both the court from which a judge is being transferred and the court to which he is being sent should be included in the commission that decides on the transfer.

He further said that the commission can also call the concerned judge and get his opinion.

The Chairman PPP said that as far as the issue of judicial magistrates is concerned, according to Bilawal Bhutto, it has not been agreed upon in the Central Executive Committee of the PPP yet, so at this time he cannot give any final stand in this regard.
