DC Poonch chairs meeting of representatives of mobile service providers

RAWALAKOT (Kashmir English): An important meeting of representatives of mobile service providers was held in DC office under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Poonch Sardar Umar Farooq.

The meeting discussed in detail the public complaints regarding the poor quality of mobile service and internet across the district, the growing anxiety and the possible law and order situation.

The Deputy Commissioner clearly directed the representatives of the companies to take effective steps to immediately improve the quality of mobile signals and internet service so that the problems faced by the public can be resolved.

He said that the continuous deterioration of the service is giving rise to public anger and distrust, which can affect the law-and-order situation any time.

Data of installed towers and users across the district was also obtained from the representatives and steps were also directed to improve the service in areas where the service is weak. Additional Deputy Commissioner General Rawalakot Sardar Abdul Qadir was also present on the occasion.

Representatives of mobile and internet service providers participating in the meeting assured of improvement in service and expressed all possible cooperation for the immediate resolution of problems.

Separately, Mufti Mudassir Ahmad Qadri called on Chairman Karwan-e-Islami, Maulana Ghulam Rasool Hami, at his residence in Srinagar.

According to the spokesperson of Karwani-e-Khatmi-e-Nabuwat International, Chairman Mufti Mudassir Ahmad Qadri met with Chairman of Karwan-e-Islami, Maulana Ghulam Rasool Hami.

Several issues of mutual concern as unity and sectarian harmony during the days of Muharram, causes of moral decline among the youth and its remedies, creating a drug-free society, and issues related to the under-construction mosque in Jamnigri, Shopian, were discussed in the meeting.

Both religious leaders expressed complete harmony and agreed to cooperate with each other on all these issues. It was also agreed that in the near future, further important matters will be pursued collectively, and joint strategies will be formulated.
