MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the people of Kashmir have always loved the PPP, but their mandate was repeatedly stolen through political engineering.
Addressing a gathering on the Oath-taking ceremony, Bilawal claimed that during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) era, the PPP’s mandate in Azad Jammu and Kashmir was “robbed under a conspiracy,” adding that “our mandate in AJK was snatched not once but twice.”
Bilawal also criticized the political decisions taken in the PDM coalition government. He said that although those decisions had been accepted on paper, “the heart did not accept them.” He said these actions deepened the disconnect and created a political vacuum in Kashmir.
The PPP chairman maintained that the demands and rights of the people of AJK must be implemented now; restoring their trust was necessary for political stability in the region.
He pledged that the PPP was committed to the people of Kashmir and vowed to continue fighting for their constitutional and political rights.
