LAHORE (Kashmir English): Mahnoor Safdar, the youngest daughter of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar, is set to marry Azan Jabbar, son of prominent industrialist Jabbar Khalid, according to media reports.
The nikah was scheduled to take place on September 12, at 5 pm at the Sharif family residence in Jati Umra, Lahore. The ceremony is expected to be a private family gathering, with only close relatives and family members in attendance.
Azan Jabbar’s father, Jabbar Khalid, is reportedly a recognised name in the flour mills industry. However, limited publicly verified information is currently available about Azan himself.
Mahnoor Safdar has generally maintained a low public profile and has stayed away from politics and extensive media coverage. The Sharif family has not publicly announced details of a formal reception or other wedding events.
The marriage comes shortly after Mahnoor’s graduation in London. Maryam Nawaz reportedly attended the graduation ceremony before returning to Lahore for the family wedding.
Mahnoor is Maryam Nawaz’s youngest child. She has two siblings, Junaid Safdar and Mehr-un-Nisa Safdar. Junaid, the family’s only son, married Shanzeh Ali Rohale in January 2026. Shanzeh is the granddaughter of senior PML-N leader Sheikh Rohale Asghar.
Mahnoor recently completed her anthropology degree at SOAS University of London, where she studied from 2023 to 2026.
The wedding has attracted considerable public attention due to Mahnoor’s connection with the Sharif family and the reported business background of her future father-in-law.
