LAHORE (Kashmir English): The Nikah ceremony of Mahnoor Safdar, daughter of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, and Azan Jabbar, son of a prominent industrialist, took place at Jati Umra.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif, and other key political and family figures attended the private family event.
According to sources, the ceremony was held at Jati Umra on Saturday at 5:00 PM, with invitations extended to members of the Sharif family, close relatives, and loved ones.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived at Jati Umra specifically to attend the ceremony, while Nawaz Sharif, Mahnoor’s father Captain (Retd) Muhammad Safdar, Hassan Nawaz, and Hussain Nawaz were also present.
Other dignitaries, including Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, also attended the event.
Family sources state that Mahnoor Safdar’s husband, Azan Jabbar, hails from a prominent business family; his father, Jabbar Khalid, is a renowned industrialist, and the family is associated with the flour milling industry.
Mahnoor Safdar recently returned to Pakistan after completing her higher education and graduating from SOAS University in London.
