ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a significant weather forecast. Hot weather persists in Lahore, with the intensity of the heat feeling more severe due to light winds.

According to the Meteorological Department, the city’s weather is expected to remain hot and dry today; the current temperature is recorded at 32°C, with a forecast high of 37°C and a low of 27°C.

Winds are blowing in Lahore at a speed of 6 km/h, and humidity stands at 64%. Meanwhile, Lahore ranks ninth on the list of the most polluted cities globally, with an air quality index (AQI) reading of 156.

In Karachi, the weather is hot and humid, with stifling conditions persisting; the current temperature is 28°C, though the heat feels closer to 30°C.

According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in Karachi could reach 35°C today; south-westerly winds are blowing at 8 km/h, and humidity is at 81%.

The Meteorological Department indicates no immediate likelihood of rain or drizzle in Karachi; however, the city’s air quality is rated as satisfactory, with pollutant levels recorded below 100 on the particulate matter scale.
