LAKKI MARWAT (Kashmir English): A wanted terrorist commander, Manzoor, was killed during a joint operation by security agencies in the Lakki Marwat area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the police, the wanted terrorist commander Manzoor, son of Izzat Khan, was killed during a joint operation involving the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and the police.
He was wanted in connection with cases involving lethal attacks on civilians and serious acts of terrorism.
It is worth noting that the previous day, terrorists had attacked players returning from a match in a rickshaw in the Abdul Khel area; three young men were martyred and three others were injured in the incident.
Upon receiving information about the incident, and acting on the directives of DPO Lakki Marwat Sajjad Ahmed Sahibzada, a heavy contingent of police and CTD personnel arrived at the scene, cordoned off the area, and launched a search operation.
According to the police, an exchange of fire with terrorists took place during the operation, which lasted several hours, resulting in the death of terrorist commander Manzoor. The police have taken the body into custody.
Police records indicate that the slain terrorist was wanted by CTD Bannu in seven serious cases, including charges of murder, attempted murder, terrorism, attacks on police personnel, and other offenses.
A large-scale search and combing operation is currently underway by the police and CTD to locate and apprehend other terrorists in the area.
