ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The M-1 Motorway has been reopened for traffic, contrary to social media claims suggesting that the route remains closed.
Traffic has resumed on the Islamabad-Peshawar motorway, providing relief to commuters travelling between the two cities.
Earlier, the National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) announced that all motorways currently closed to traffic will reopen at 6 am on Saturday, September 27.
According to an NHMP spokesperson, traffic will be restored on all affected motorway sections, including the M-1 Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway, M-14 Islamabad-Dera Ismail Khan Motorway and E-35 Hazara Motorway.
The spokesperson said motorists would be able to resume normal travel on the reopened routes after 6 am.
The M-1 is a key route connecting Islamabad with Peshawar, while the M-14 links Hakla with Dera Ismail Khan and the E-35 provides access towards Hazara and northern areas.
