HAJIRA (Kashmir English): In a tragic incident, a passenger van carrying sixteen passengers plunged into the river near Azad Pattan, Sundhoti district of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the details, the passenger van was en route to Rawalpindi from Hajira, where it fell into the river. According to Deputy Commissioner Sundhuti, rescue teams took prompt action, rescuing four passengers alive, while the other twelve passengers are still missing. The rescue operation for the missing individuals is still ongoing.
The injured in the accident have been immediately shifted to Kahuta THQ Hospital, where they are being provided medical assistance. Rescue officials say that the fast flow of the river and difficult geography are creating obstacles in the operation; however, the search operation to find the missing persons is continuing.
