ABU DHABI (Kashmir English): The United Arab Emirates has imposed travel restrictions that prevent its citizens from entering Iran, Lebanon, and Iraq, while requiring Emirati citizens who are currently in these countries to return to their home country.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement that explained that the decision was made because of ongoing regional security issues and recent Middle East developments.

The ministry required Emirati citizens to follow the safety advisory because it would protect their well-being. The government issued a directive that requires all citizens present in Iran, Lebanon, and Iraq to exit those nations as soon as they can.

The authorities declared that citizens must keep in touch with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs who should handle emergency situations which arise.

The officials described the measure as precautionary, which would protect the safety and security of UAE citizens overseas because of changing conditions in the Middle East.

UAE Eases Travel Rules for Pakistanis

Earlier, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has relaxed its visa rules for Pakistanis, providing them with new opportunities for employment, business, and investments.

Many Pakistanis, who in the past used to experience delays in visa issuance, are now traveling to cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi to be part of family businesses, new ventures, and employment.

It is important to note that the move comes at a time when the economy in the region is slowing down, resulting in a drop in the price of cars, real estate, and other commercial activities.

This has, therefore, presented an opportunity for Pakistanis to venture into the region, especially in the wake of lower purchase prices.

Experts have noted that the current state of the economy in the region has presented Pakistanis with an opportunity to gain valuable experience in their respective fields and explore business opportunities in the region, especially when the cost of purchase is relatively lower.

However, it has been noted that interested individuals need to be quick in capitalizing on the opportunity, especially since the move is likely to be temporary.

UAE issues new update on work visas for Pakistanis

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced important changes to work visas, which will provide Pakistanis with good news.

The United Arab Emirates is set to resume issuing work visas for Pakistani workers, with preparations now in their final stages. The announcement was made by UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, Salem Al Zaabi, during a meeting with a delegation of the Pakistan Overseas Employment Promoters Association (POEPA) at the UAE Embassy.

The delegation was led by POEPA Chairman Syed Rehmat Ali Shah. The ambassador described Pakistan–UAE relations as historic and brotherly, saying cooperation between the two countries continues across multiple sectors.

He praised the contribution of Pakistani workers, stating that Pakistani manpower has played a key role in the UAE’s development. Salem Al Zaabi confirmed that the process to resume UAE work visas for Pakistanis will begin soon, creating new employment opportunities for Pakistani workers.

POEPA Chairman Syed Rehmat Ali Shah welcomed the announcement and expressed hope that the restoration of UAE work visas for Pakistanis will strengthen economic ties and open new overseas job opportunities for Pakistani youth.
