MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Citizens staged a protest for slow internet speeds in Muzaffarabad’s Saidpur area, stating that the outage has been affecting the work and livelihood of thousands of online workers.

The Jammu and Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee has been urged to include this issue in its Charter of Demands.

As per details, people took to the streets and dug up the towers of Zong and Telenor in protest against poor performance and service. Despite the passage of four days, the mobile tower has not been restored, leaving residents frustrated.

People said that the packages are so expensive, but the service is equivalent to no service.

The locals have warned the mobile companies that if the service is not standardized soon, they will not only demolish the towers but also launch a statewide movement to put an end to the poor services. The community is demanding better services and more affordable packages.

The protestors have demanded faster and more reliable internet services for online workers and residents. They urged the mobile companies to provide better coverage and services to meet the needs of the community.
