LAHORE (Kashmir English): Renowned Pakistani actor Shahryar Munawar has given fans a first glimpse of his upcoming drama serial Dar-e-Nijaat, with an emotional and thought-provoking teaser that has quickly gained attention on social media.
The teaser, posted on Instagram, promises an engaging storyline centered on issues of love, heartache, religion, and personal transformation. The drama series will be aired under a privately-owned television channel and written by famous screenwriter, Umaira Ahmed.
The teaser presents us with actors Darfshan Saleem and emerging artist Namir Khan in the setting of America, where both seem to have a relationship with each other, implying that it will revolve around a romantic story line.
On the other hand, Shahryar Munawar’s role is played by a middle class Pakistani teenager whose life is highly related to his beliefs and faiths. Conflict between faith and modern lifestyle is evident from the teaser, with Namir Khan’s role being depicted as a modernist.
Darfshan Saleem’s character appears caught between these contrasting worlds, navigating emotional and personal conflicts throughout the story.
References to Quranic verses and Islamic teachings are also made in the trailer, signifying that religion and spirituality would feature prominently in the story plot.
There is depiction of a number of intense moments in the trailer including scenes involving confrontation, emotional breakdown and suspense, denoting a deep and emotional story line. This involves Darfshan Saleem slapping Namir Khan as well as glass breaking in rage.
The television station has described Dar-e-Nijaat as “a powerful tale of fate, heartbreak and salvation” without revealing the key elements of the plot of the series.
Despite there being no announced date for release of the drama, the “Coming Soon” message in the trailer and starcast have generated buzz among viewers.

According to the previous posts of Shahryar Munawar on his social media accounts, the cast of the series also includes Sahar Hashmi, Rumisa Khan, Sania Saeed and Saba Hameed.
This drama serial has been directed by Saqib Khan and this is the first official drama serial from the production house of Shahryar Munawar and Sonia Khan’s company Three’s Entertainment.
