LAHORE (Kashmir English): Police have seized a Land Cruiser owned by YouTuber Rajab Butt for carrying a fake and non-standard number plate and registered a case against its driver in Lahore.
In a statement, a spokesperson for the DIG Operations said that the vehicle was intercepted by Sundar Police near NFC Bridge.
It added that the driver, identified as Musa Khan, failed to provide a satisfactory explanation regarding the number plate, prompting police to register a case against him.
“As per initial information, the vehicle is owned by well-known YouTuber Rajab Butt. Further legal proceedings concerning the vehicle’s ownership and registration plate are underway,” the spokesperson stated.
DIG Operations Faisal Kamran said Lahore Police’s crackdown on vehicles displaying fake and non-standard number plates was continuing, with 1,508 cases registered so far.
The official said that the law applied equally to everyone and no one was exempt, adding that police were ensuring the proper identification of vehicles through their original registration details to help prevent crime.
