RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): The security forces killed as many as 12 terrorists belonging to “Indian proxy” outfits in separate engagements in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, the military’s media wing said on Monday.
Two security forces personnel were also martyred in the operations.
The ISPR said that on 17-18 May 2025, nine Khwarij belonging to Indian proxy, Fitna Al Khwarij, were sent to hell in multiple engagements in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Province.
“An intelligence-based operation (IBO) was conducted by the Security Forces in Lakki Marwat District. During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the khwarij location and resultantly, five India-sponsored khwarij were sent to hell.”
In a second IBO, according to the ISPR, conducted in Bannu District, two India-sponsored Khwarij were successfully neutralized by the security forces.
In another incident that occurred in general area Mir Ali, North Waziristan District, khwarij ambushed a security forces convoy.
India-sponsored khwarij
The ISPR said that the troops responded effectively and sent to hell two India-sponsored khwarij.
However, it added, during intense exchange of fire, two brave sons of soil, Sepoy Farhad Ali Turi (29), resident of District Kurram and Lance Naik Sabir Afridi (32), resident of District Kohat having fought gallantly, paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced shahadat.
Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Khwarij found in the area, as the security forces are determined to wipe out the menace of India-abetted and prosecuted terrorism perpetrated through their proxies.
In the first Balochistan encounter, troops engaged the terrorists at their location in Awaran district’s general area of Gishkur and killed “Indian-sponsored terrorist Younas” in an intense exchange of fire, while two more were injured.
“In another engagement in Turbat City, Kech district, security forces successfully neutralised two Indian-sponsored terrorists; ring leader Sabr Ullah and terrorist Amjad alias Bichoo,” the ISPR said.
It added that weapons, ammunition and explosives were recovered from the terrorists, who were actively involved in multiple activities against law-enforcement agencies and target killing of innocent civilians.
