ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The authorities have finalized the procedure for receiving applications and depositing Hajj expenses for 2027.
According to sources in the Ministry of Religious Affairs, applications under the government Hajj scheme are likely to be received from the third week of August, while overseas Pakistanis will also be able to submit Hajj applications.
Hajj 2027 applications
According to Ministry of Religious Affairs sources, the collection of applications for the government Hajj scheme will start from the third week of August.
Pakistani citizens wishing to perform Hajj next year will be able to submit applications according to the prescribed procedure, while overseas Pakistanis will also be provided the facility to apply.
Hajj expenses
According to sources, the expenses for Hajj 2027 will be collected from pilgrims in two equal installments.
Half of the Hajj expenses will have to be deposited in the first installment, while the remaining half will be paid in the second installment.
In case the fixed quota for the government Hajj scheme is complete, the receipt of further applications will be stopped.
Therefore, individuals wishing to submit Hajj applications will be instructed to submit their applications within the stipulated period.
Total quota for Hajj 2027
According to sources, Pakistan’s total Hajj quota for 2027 has been fixed at 179,210.
The total quota has been divided between government and private Hajj schemes so that arrangements for pilgrims’ facilities can be managed under both systems.
According to Ministry of Religious Affairs, 60% of the total Hajj quota has been allocated for the government Hajj scheme, while 40% quota has been kept under the private Hajj scheme.
For Hajj 2027, overseas Pakistanis will also be provided the opportunity to submit applications under the government Hajj scheme.
Further guidance regarding the receipt of applications, payments, quota, and other details will be provided by the Ministry of Religious Affairs under the prescribed procedure.
