MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government has announced that all educational institutions in the state will reopen from Tuesday, May 13, after a six-day closure due to Pakistan-India tensions.
The notification stated that the Secretary Elementary and Secondary Education, AJK, has approved the reopening of all public and private educational institutions from May 12, 2025.
Earlier, the Azad Kashmir government had shut down all the educational institutions following unprovoked May 7 Indian aggression.
In addition to that, the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Mirpur has announced that the board exams, which were postponed, are now being resumed from Thursday, May 15, 2025.
“The revised practical roll number slips related to them will be uploaded on the board’s website on Tuesday, May 13,” the notification added.
The board said that candidates will be able to download the revised practical roll number slips from the board’s website www.ajkbise.edu.pk with the help of their roll number.
“After getting the printout of the roll number slip, check the details mentioned on the slip (name of practical examination center, subjects, date, and working hours), etc,” it read.
The board exams and schools were shut down last week due to the Indian missile and drone attacks on the civilian population in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and areas in Pakistan, particularly Punjab.
