LAHORE (Kashmir English): Pakistan is considering retaining opening batter Sahibzada Farhan as captain for the upcoming home T20I series against Sri Lanka.
Sahibzada is currently leading the national team in the Asian Games.
According to sources, head coach Mike Hesson favors appointing Farhan as captain in the T20 format, replacing Salman Ali Agha.
Sources said young players are likely to be given opportunities during the series as Pakistan looks to build a pool of players for the 2028 T20 World Cup.
Fakhar Zaman, Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf are not expected to return for the series.
The three-match T20I series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka is scheduled to be played in Rawalpindi on October 9, 11 and 13.

Earlier, Sahibzada Farhan also scored a century in the match against Namibia.
