RIYADH (Kashmir English): Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia’s newest national airline, announced today that it will commence services between the Kingdom and Pakistan with the introduction of direct flights from Riyadh to Islamabad and Lahore, further enhancing connectivity for travel, business and tourism.

Tickets are now available for both destinations. Riyadh Air will take to the skies to Islamabad on August 14, 2026, and connect with Lahore on August 18, 2026.

Under the new flight schedule, Riyadh Air will operate daily flights connecting Riyadh and Islamabad and three flights per week connecting Riyadh and Lahore.

Riyadh-Islamabad will be served by two flight times: RX0659, departing from Riyadh at 1:45 PM on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and RX0661, departing at 8:10 PM on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The Riyadh to Lahore service, RX0675, will depart from Riyadh at 1:40 PM on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The airline will deploy its new and state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners on both routes, which feature Riyadh Air’s all-new cabin interiors, advanced inflight entertainment and exceptional service.

Riyadh Air highlighted that the launch in Pakistan signifies the close cultural ties, economic links and people-to-people connections shared between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. The airline expects to stimulate demand from business travelers, tourists, as well as the extensive Pakistani community residing in Saudi Arabia.

Furthermore, the new routes will provide efficient connecting flights from the Kingdom’s capital to various destinations throughout Europe, the Middle East and across Saudi Arabia, as the aviation hubs continue to expand from Riyadh.

For Pakistani travellers, these new services will provide easier and direct access to Riyadh’s thriving business and entertainment scenes and exciting tourism destinations, as Saudi Arabia drives forward with its Vision 2030.”
