RIYADH (Kashmir English): Saudi Arabia’s newest airline, Riyadh Air, has introduced its inaugural daily service between Riyadh and Dubai with its new 787-9 Dreamliner as it continues to bolster its regional network.
Riyadh Air’s first flight took off this Thursday afternoon from the capital’s King Khalid International Airport, landing later in the evening at Dubai International Airport.
Dubai is Riyadh Air’s 3rd operational destination after its launch into both London and Jeddah. The new route seeks to fulfil both growing traveller demands between the two popular Gulf cities and continue building the already solid relationship between the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Further international flights to the popular cities of Cairo, Manchester, and Madrid are also expected in the coming months. The national airline is already operating flights into Jeddah and has maintained daily service since the start of June after commencing two flights a day.
Since June 18, the airline has expanded its frequency to 3 daily services, which is also scheduled to rise to four services a day on July 2nd.
Riyadh Air began its service to London from its home at King Khalid International Airport, with its inaugural passenger flight heading to London Heathrow.
PIA resumes Islamabad-Beijing flights
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Friday announced to resume its direct flight service between Islamabad and Beijing from July 3, restoring a key air link between the two countries.
The move will further reinforce longstanding ties between Pakistan and China. The revival of the Islamabad-Beijing-Islamabad route comes amid growing demand from tourists, students, business professionals, and families seeking efficient and convenient travel options between the two countries.
The direct service is expected to significantly boost connectivity while offering passengers competitive fares, generous baggage allowances, and a more comfortable travel experience.
The move will especially benefit a large number of Pakistani and Chinese students pursuing higher education in each other’s countries.
Travel industry stakeholders, educational institutions, and student groups have described the development as timely, especially with the upcoming academic sessions and peak travel season approaching.
