RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): PSL X opening ceremony to feature musical acts and thrilling cricket action at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The ceremony is scheduled to begin on Friday, April 11, at 7PM. This event will mark the magnificent opening to the much-awaited season of PSL.
Defending champions Islamabad United, who have won the Pakistan Super League three times, and two-time winners Lahore Qalandars will play the inaugural match of the six-team event on the same day. The first ball is expected to be bowled at 8:30PM.
Four locations will host the main event: the National Bank Stadium in Karachi, the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, the Multan Cricket Stadium, and the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Security preparation for these venues is also being taken care of with great effort. Lahore, Rawalpindi and Multan have undertaken extensive security preparations in advance of PSL-10 to secure all participants and spectators.
Punjab Home Department announced that Pakistan Army and Rangers personnel will perform security duties across these hosting cities as the PSL X draws major spectators and international viewers.
On May 18, the event’s final is set to take place at Gaddafi Stadium.
Renowned Sufi musician Abida Parveen will play, among other interesting acts, at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium’s inaugural event, along with cultural star Ali Zafar and a modern performance by Young Stunners.
The opening ceremony will also feature performances by Abrar ul Haq, Ali Zafar, Natasha Baig, and Talha Anjum, who will sing the HBL PSL X anthem song. During the event, fans will also be treated to a breathtaking fireworks show.
