MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The public and traders of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) have completely rejected the intentions of the banned Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC).

Mischievous elements of the proscribed Joint Action Committee have started threatening traders in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Umar Nazir, the leader of the proscribed Joint Awami Action Committee, started distributing ‘certificates of treason’ to those who opened shops during the strike.

Umar Nazir, while threatening traders, said: “Those who open shops in Azad Kashmir will always be remembered as traitors”.

“It will be said that this is a traitor’s shop, this is an accomplice’s shop.”

In Bagh, a bakery owner had opened a shop, then he had to sell the bakery and flee, Umar Nazir said in a clandestine threat to traders.

JAAC, enemy of shopkeepers

According to experts, it is the leaders of this proscribed committee who have become enemies of shopkeepers.

The public rejected their appeal to close shops, now they want to enforce strikes and shop closures through threats, said experts.

Threatening peaceful traders who open shops in Azad Jammu and Kashmir is a clear proof of economic terrorism by the mischievous elements.
