LONDON (Kashmir English): President Asif Ali Zardari‘s departure from Britain to Pakistan today has been postponed.
According to media reports, President Asif Ali Zardari will not leave for Pakistan today, and his new departure schedule is likely to be released tomorrow.
Earlier, sources had said that President Asif Ali Zardari had canceled his visit to France. President Asif Ali Zardari was supposed to go to France for two days, but now he will come to Pakistan from Britain.
It should be noted that Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also met President Asif Ali Zardari in Britain, while Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also met the President of Pakistan in London.
PM, President pay tribute to martyrs, hail Pakistan’s victories in 1965 war
President Asif Ali Zardari has paid tribute to the martyrs and ghazis of Pakistan on Defence Day and Martyrs’ Day, saying the nation and armed forces successfully defeated the enemy’s plans during the 1965 war.
In his message, the president said the sacrifices of Pakistan’s martyrs would continue to guide and inspire future generations. He said the spirit shown on September 6 was once again demonstrated during Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos, which he described as another important chapter in the country’s history.
President Zardari said the strong bond between the Pakistani people and armed forces reflected the country’s collective strength.
He added that no force could defeat a nation that remained united and determined to protect its sovereignty.
He also said lasting peace in South Asia could not be achieved without a fair resolution of the Kashmir dispute. He urged India to stop supporting proxy terrorism in Pakistan and said there would be no compromise on the country’s sovereignty and national security.
The president also described the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement as a sign of Pakistan’s growing role in regional security and defence cooperation.
He reiterated that the sacrifices of the country’s martyrs remain a source of national pride and a reminder of the importance of unity, patriotism and commitment to Pakistan’s defence.
