KOTLI (Kashmir English): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Chaudhry Yasin has called on the district administration to take immediate notice of alleged polling interference in Union Council Charhoi during the ongoing elections.
According to a statement released by Chaudhry Yasin, the PML-N assembly candidate for the area, Raja Riyasat Khan, along with about 50 armed men, had arrived at polling stations in Union Council Charhoi and tried to interfere with the polling procedure.
It was mentioned in the statement that the arrival of armed men had instilled fear in the minds of the voters.
Moreover, Chaudhry Yasin also stated that poor services from mobile phones made it tough for people to reach the duty magistrate and Quick Response Force (QRF).
The speaker requested the Kotli administration to take immediate action to make sure that polling takes place in a free and fair manner.
He also requested the media houses and DSNGs covering the election process to visit the polling stations of Union Council Charhoi.
