LAHORE (Kashmir English): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has announced the list of candidates for 37 seats for the upcoming legislative assembly election in AJK in 2026.
As per the announcement of the party, Azeem Bakhsh Chaudhry will be contesting from LA-02 Chakswari, and Muhammad Saeed will contest from LA-03 Mirpur City.
On the other hand, LA-04 Khari Sharif will see the candidature of Chaudhry Rukhsar Ahmed, whereas LA-05 Barnala seat will see the candidature of Waqar Ahmed Noor.
LA-06 Samahni seat is to be contested by Muhammad Razzaq Chaudhry, and the candidacy for LA-07 Bhimber City seat will be seen from the side of Chaudhry Tariq Farooq, who is a senior member of PML-N.
Umair Naeem has been announced as the candidate for LA-09 Nakyal, and LA-10 Kotli seat will see the candidacy of Fateh Mahmood-ul-Hassan.
LA-11 Sehnsa will see the candidacy of Muhammad Asif, whereas LA-12 Charhoi will see the candidacy of Muhammad Riyat.
Ayaz Ahmed is the candidate for LA-13 Khui Ratta, while Raja Faisal Azad is the nominee for LA-14 Dhirkot.
Former minister Mushtaq Ahmed Minhas is the candidate for LA-15 West Bagh, whereas Sardar Mir Akbar Khan has been nominated for LA-16 East Bagh.
Sardar Amir Altaf Khan is the nominee from LA-20 Khai Gala, while Chaudhry Mohsin Aziz has been nominated from LA-19 Hajira.
Abdul Rashid Khan will contest from LA-21 Rawalakot City, whereas Tahir Anwar Khan will compete from LA-23 Pallandri. Muhammad Najeeb Khan will be contesting from LA-24 Poonch, whereas Farooq Ahmed Tahir will be contesting from LA-25 Baloch.
Shah Ghulam Qadir is the former speaker and he will be the candidate from Upper Neelum. Noreen Arif will contest from LA-27 Kathar, while Syed Iftikhar Ali Gilani will be competing from LA-29 Muzaffarabad City.
Dr Mustafa Bashir Abbasi will be the contestant from LA-30 Hattian Bala, while Saqib Majeed Raja will be contesting from LA-31 Khawra.
Former PM Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan has been nominated for LA-32 Chakar while Chaudhry Muhammad Rashid for LA-33 Leepa Valley.
In the case of refugee constituencies, Nasir Hussain Dar has been nominated for LA-34 Jammu-I, Chaudhry Muhammad Ismail for LA-35 Jammu-II, Maryam Javed for LA-37 Jammu-IV, Zeeshan Ali for LA-38 Jammu-V, and Raja Muhammad Siddique for LA-39 Jammu-VI.
The nominations made in the valley refugee constituencies include that of Muhammad Naeem Khan for LA-40 Valley-I, Syed Shaukat Ali Shah for LA-42 Valley-III, Muhammad Yasin Lone for LA-43 Valley-IV, and Muhammad Ahmad Raza Qadri for LA-44 Valley-V.
