ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The security sources declared that the Reuters report about Pakistan halting its $1.5 billion weapons deal with Sudan because of Saudi Arabian pressure was entirely false.

The security sources who know about the situation proved that the Reuters story, which they published, contained false information about actual conditions. Security sources made another announcement that the exclusive story they reported contains incorrect information, while the provided information consists of unverified statements that do not connect to Pakistan’s current international agreements.

The Reuters report claimed that Pakistan suspended its major arms package, which included jet aircraft and military equipment, because Saudi Arabia refused to fund the transaction and requested Pakistan to abort it.

The officials here said that no such development has taken place, and they described the report as fake. The sources confirmed that Pakistan maintains defence relationships with its friendly nations through established institutional methods, which protect their relationships from unverified information.

The two nations maintain strong relations while collaborating closely in multiple fields, which include defence and security. The report connected the alleged agreement to the current conflict in Sudan, which exists between the national army and paramilitary groups that have attracted worldwide attention.

The sources revealed that Islamabad supports conflict resolution through peaceful methods while following international standards for defense partnerships.

The diplomatic observers said that misinformation about important defense topics will result in confusing outcomes, so they recommended using official statements instead of anonymous sources.
